I am creating this meetup to assemble a group of young women (20's and early 30's) who are looking for fun and friendship in the Durham area. We could do wine tasting events, eat at fabulous restaurants, have movie nights or game nights, potluck dinners, book clubs, outdoor adventures and so much more. Museum AfterHours is an opportunity to grab a beer, explore the Museum of Life and Science and hang out with your friends... without kids. Some of our events are themed around a topic like beer, coffee, chocolate or wine. Other events are more about exploring what we have to offer at the museum! We are a casual book club that alternates between locations in Durham and Chapel Hill/Carrboro. We meet the last Tuesday of the month. Want to do craft classes but can't stomach the price tag? This meetup is designed to teach and demo cool crafts and techniques in all kinds of media. Metals, beads, collage, paint, drawing, assemblage, papers, yarn, food, upcycle- you name it we'll play with it!
