Great Wine Values from Spain

Spanish wines have received quite a bit of attention lately, and it?s no wonder. The wines are as diverse as the country, and all offer great flavors and value at all price points. Please join Mollie Battenhouse DWS and certified Sommelier for a dinner-time wine class about Great Wine Values from Spain. Nuevo Latino flavors from Calle Ocho will set the tone for the evening as we sample savory, spicy bites lightened up with citrus and complemented by a range of Spanish wines. Tonight?s wines have all received good scores from the press and represent great value within their price range. Wines to be tasted will include:

Bodegas Ochoa Blanco 2007
La Rioja Alta 'Vina Alberdi' 2001

Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a flute of Cava. Class will be during dinner ? you enjoy a great meal prepared by Calle Ocho while Mollie tells you about the wines that are paired with each course - where they come from and how they?re made - as well as why they are such great values. The price for this evening of food and wine is $95 including all tips and taxes.
