We're getting ready for the spring with some light reds.
This may include a Gamay grape varietal, such as a Beaujolais Nouveau, or Pinot Noir, or a Malbec (to compare).
I know its a broad category. We will probably update this as time goes forward. But the key is "light." That means no Cabs. Nothing particularly tannic. Unless its a light tannic wine.
As usual, we'll gather and have a glass of champagne to begin, discuss what we've brought and then put everything in brown paper bags to evaluate blindly. Your palate will surely improve. We may bring, also a tasting kit to help us with our palate.
If you can't bring anything, just leave an RSVP and bring $20 so I can get a bottle. Multiple inquiries also ensures a greater variety of wines.
Please bring an appetizer.
Those who bring a meal to share are exempt from bringing a wine.
Cost? If this your first time, $3 for the glass. Otherwise we appreciate donations for the cleanup, space and champagne. Most of the time we cover our costs.
Please RSVP. We look forward to seeing you!
