“Summer Whites and Rosés”: What’s So Great About Torrontes from Argentina, Rosés from Provence, and Gewurztraminers from Alsace, and Chenin Blancs from wherever?

Chenin blancs are "handier than a Swiss Army knife and comes in sweet, dry and fizzy."

COME AND FIND OUT!

Bring an appetizer. We've got some remarkable cooks, but if you can only bring cheese that's OK.

Those who bring a meal to share are exempt from bringing a wine.

The grill will be on for those who would like to bring something to grill.

Cost? If this your first time, $3 for the glass. Otherwise we appreciate donations for the cleanup, space and Sparkling wine $1-5. Most of the time we cover our costs.

We start off with the sparkler. Ned will introduce the basic grape. Then we put them in paper bags to taste them blind. Ad the end of the evening you will have tested and refined your palate.

If you don't have time to purchase a wine, just bring $20 and put it in the RSVP. I'll get the wines for you.

Please RSVP with what you are bringing. Look forward to seeing you there.

PS: Please change your RSVP to "No" if your plans change. Sometimes people are shut out of a full event while others No Show it.

    •  A nice selection of wine and the weather held up so we could be outside. Reminder, please don't forget your food item to go along with the wine.
    •  If you missed it, you missed a wonderful evening. Great wine selections, great food, and best of all, great people.
    •  again, very welcoming, friendly group willing to share info on interests and happy to meet new people very diverse group Gowain is a great leader always the food and wine challenge to bring interesting dishes and bottles can't wait to go again wish there were more like it and was even closer to my house Janet
    •  Always great to see new people.
    •  It was fun to have to meeting outside, but I wish I was more prepared with bug spray. There were some new people at the meeting, which is a great thing. The tasting was more organized than at past meetings. I think we should set some ground rules for the meetings, as new people jmay not be familiar with the meetup.
    •  Another great wine meetup - thanks Gawain, Ned and Rich and everyone else who helped out.
