Westchester Wine May Meetup

This month:

Varietals Shiraz / Syrah and Grenache and blends with more than 80% these two grapes.

OR Wines from the Rhone Valley.

They are wonderful grapes. Let's get to know them. They are grown throughout the world.

Last month, the wines were wonderful. They get better each month.

Bring an appetizer. We've got some remarkable cooks, but if you can only bring cheese that's OK.

Those who bring a meal to share are exempt from bringing a wine.

Cost? If this your first time, $3 for the glass. Otherwise we appreciate donations for the cleanup, space and Sparkling wine $1-5. Most of the time we cover our costs.

We start off with the sparkler. Ned will introduce the basic grape. Then we put them in paper bags to taste them blind. Ad the end of the evening you will have tested and refined your palate.

If you don't have time to purchase a wine, just bring $20 and put it in the RSVP. I'll get the wines for you.

This will also be the organizer's 40th birthday party, so there might be a couple surprises. Improv comedy? Dancing? Who knows? It means a greater variety of individuals....
