Hi,
I will try not to send too many emails through this thing, but we are 3 days away from our first tasting. We only have six and need at least eight to make it a go. SO if any of you could reconsider, I'd sure appreciate it.
If this is not a good time or location, please let me know what would work better for you. I am anxious to get this thing going. We have a bunch of things to make it a successful blind tasting. Six tasty ZInfandels, a tasty menu, and a low price.
To try and give you guys a little extra incentive, I am going to give away two of my favorite wine books to the attendees: "How to Taste" by Jancis Robinson and "A Good Year," in which the author writes about a year he spent at the Ferrari Carano winery. He goes through anything and everything about a modern American vineyard. I probably learned more about vineyards form this book than anywhere else. Very informative, but also easy to read. I will hold a drawing at the end of the tasting so two lucky people will go home with a good book.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or suggestions, I will do anything possible to make this happen. My goal is 3 tastings a week and 1000 wines tasted in a year.
