What: Blind Zinfandel Tasting When: Friday October 30th at 6 O’clock Where: Sunnyvale (private residence) exact address will be provided to those who RSVP yes the week of the event. Cost: There is no formal charge for the event. However it is suggested that people attending make a donation to help pay for the food, wine, and cleanup. The suggested donation is $20 per person. There will be a donation box set up at the event. Mark is generously opening his home to the group and asking if we can help him dispose of some of his Zinfandel . He will provide a blind tasting of some wines peaking in his cellar. There will be 8 of the following wines served blind for your evaluation and enjoyment. The participant that gets the most correct will win a bottle of the wine they rated highest of the 6. What: Wines from South America and South Africa When: Sat. June 13th, 2009 – 6:30 to 9PM Where: Redwood Shores – Exact address to be emailed to those who have paid. We're having a wine-tasting party at a scenic clubhouse on a lagoon in Redwood Shores with the theme " Wines from South America and South Africa". Each guest is asked to bring at least a 1/2 bottle of their favorite South American or South African wine ($10+). People coming in pairs can bring 1 bottle per couple, 3 people can bring 2 bottles, etc. Parking is extremely limited so guests are strongly encouraged to carpool, not to mention you could find someone with whom to split the bottle of wine. Substantial appetizers will be provided. To pay for the room reservation, food, and cleanup, as well as get a firm headcount for ordering appetizers, a $10.60 per person payment is required in advance via Paypal. Refunds can be requested up to 24 hours before the event. Note: If you don't have a Paypal account and don't want to create one for this purpose, you can request an address for mailing a check but this needs to be done immediately after you RSVP.
