What: Premium wine tasting for couples - Young Napa Cabs 2002 or younger

When: June 7th

Where: Gary and Tracey?s place in Palo Alto

Who can attend: Couples: (married, partners, dating)

Due to popular demand for a ?Couples Theme? Gary and Tracey will be hosting our first ?Couples Only? event in their home for those twosomes who enjoy top of the line California Cabernets and tasty appetizers.

Each couple to bring one bottle of wine from the list below

Each couple is to bring one of the following bottles listed at the bottom of the event. (Exact year and vintage required - The price of the wines range between $80 and $110) per bottle depending where you buy it. Please note in your RSVP which bottle you intend to bring. We would like no more than 3 of the same bottle and your wine of choice will be reserved with your RSVP on a first come first serve basis. If you have a high end Napa cab (2002 or younger) that is not on the list please email me the details and we will send it to our third party wine expert for approval. Each couple should RSVP 1 and 1 guest.

Each couple to bring one appetizer.

Prepare enough for 4-6 people.

Sushi plate (example 12-14 pieces of sushi)
Cheese plate (two types of cheese sliced or cubed with toothpicks and crackers)
Meat platter (2 types of meats that are easy to eat cubed or sliced with crackers and toothpick ex: pepperoni and salami)
Mini sandwich platter- 8-10 small finger sandwich ex: turkey, roast beef etc..
Mini pizza platter- 12-14 finger food size pizzas
Shrimp platter- small shrimp platter ? 12-14 piece f shrimp with cocktail sauce
Quiches platter- small bite size quiches 12-14
Cheese Fondue (if you have a fondue pot)- Please bring chunked bread and dipping skewers.
Indian appetizer plate- Assortment of Indian appetizers
Tapas plate- Assortment of Spanish Tapas
Antipasto plate- Assortment of Italian meats and cheeses.
Satay- Skewers of cooked chicken , meat etc with dipping sauces.

      “ We had great hosts and it was a fabulous idea. However, the bottle selections were not well managed and so there was not enough of each selection to go around. Perhaps, it should have been 2 bottles per couple or measured bottle pourers used. ”

      “ Thanks to Gary and Tracey for opening their home. There was plenty of premium cabs for all to taste, which works out better than pouring a full glass. Many different foods and good conversation. The greatest thing I learned was that $100 bottle of wines were not better than many of the ones I knew for $25. Very good to know. ”
