Come join us for the Drink~What~You~Blend Wine Blending Class!

A VinVillage featured partner is Crushpad, where you become the winemaker! During this hands-on class, you'll learn how to turn a good wine into a great one and gain an appreciation for why wine blending is the highest art form in winemaking. You'll be the artist, using the same approach and tools the pros use. You'll start by learning to recreate some of the great Cabernet blends from Bordeaux and Napa. Before you know it, you'll be enjoying your blends! Then, you'll follow the same steps professional winemakers use to evaluate and determine what actually goes into the bottle as you follow your own palate to create a masterpiece! After you've had some practice blending, you'll put your newly-developed skills to the test with Guess the Mystery Wine as you try to unlock the blending components of a mystery wine blend.

~ Cost: $30 first 8 sign-ups, $35 by 7/18 & $40 after (Note that the VV site will add sales tax of approximately $2.50 to the purchase.)
~ Tickets: Only available through www.VinVillage.com You will need to set up your profile on the VinVillage site and join the Phoenix Village in order to purchase tickets. Please e-mail me if you have any difficulties.
~ Wines: Provided for blending and tasting.
~ Food: Tasting nibbles provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring an appetizer to share, if they wish.

After the class, you can join as part of the first VinVillage Community Wine Barrel and be a member of the VinVillage wine-maker team! After signing-up, enter our Name-the-Wine Contest. The top names will be put to a final vote by our community to determine the winning name. The winner will receive a 3-bottle lot from the barrel!

Join us for a great afternoon of wine-blending & wine-sipping fun!

Added Bonus: Rob Barnett, founder of VinVillage, will be at my house helping to lead this demonstration!

VinVillage is where wine lovers connect!

NOTES:
You must have attended a prior public event with the group in order to attend an in-home event. Complete address and directions will be set to those who have paid approximately a week before the event. Last day to sign up is 7/24. No walk-ins accepted. Because we must purchase the blending kits in advance, no refunds wil be given, though you may find someone to take your place.

I have moved all pre-RSVPs to Maybe until they are paid, at which point I will return them to a Yes status. This event will be limited to 20 participants, and price is pro-rated to benefit those who sign up early. Please make payment through the VinVillage site to hold your spot.

This event will take the place of my usual Sunday Dinner this month.
