About Rochester's Fruit of the Vine Wine Bunch
When I moved here from California, one of the first things I sought was meeting people genuinely interested in wine. I attended a few meetups only to be disappointed by the hidden agendas. I would like this group to be shaped around the many pleasures of wine. I don't claim to know everything about wine (far from it!), but do know and understand the fundamentals of tasting and have at least a cursory knowledge about most regions.
I would like to help cultivate a group that advances its knowledge of the world's wine regions and the various varietals they contain while at the same time creating an enjoyable, comfortable atmosphere. I welcome any ideas and input on how to better the group. If you have any suggestions, feel free to contact me. Cheers!
Our first meeting was in January 2008. By now, I feel we have the beginnings of a solid group who genuinely enjoys wine and all it has to offer.
