This group is for the general public to enjoy wine and socialize. Whatever wine you like is OK here, because this group is not for the wine industry or the "wine expert" snobs. The organizer here is not part of the wine industry and does not take money or gifts from the wine industry. We don't promote or push any wine brands on our web site. This group goes to nice quiet uncrowded venues and not to the loud music places. None of our photos are of paid professional models, just us. UNCORKING NEWS, May 13th: We are doing another "Bring Our Own Wine to Our Room" Tuesday, June 10th, again at the same wonderful cafe room that we rent every month in the SF Mechanics' Institute (Photo at right). It is very close to the Montgomery Street BART Station. The wine is always great. Also, check out 2 other popular complementary meetups "Walking in San Francisco for Health and History" where I give FREE walking history tours, and "Picnicking plus Visiting Science and Nature Places." Our next meeting:
A Tuesday 6:30 PM - Bringing Our Wine to Our Private Room
Again we will bring our own favorite inexpensive wine to our own same private quiet room which happens to be very close to the Montgomery Street BART Station. We have the room from 6:30 - 8:30 PM. Attendees have 3 choices of what to bring: 1) bring a bottle of wine or (wine + snacks) = about $15; 2) bring $15 cash; and 3) bring $15 cash and back-up wine. Read more
