There are a ton of great places, simply walking about downtown, that offer tastings and such? I would like to make this a regular second saturday thing, and possibly find a landing pad downtown where we can congregate before, and maybe after second saturday to enjoy everyones company? What do you guys think?

Anyone else, and anyone have any landing pads, or suggestions for someplace to land downtown? I may have one soon?

I'm suggesting Chris Cain at the Torch Club around 9 - 10pm. Good venue, inexpensive cover, and they usually have a decent wine to continue the evening, yet I often switch to beer;-)

    Revolution Wines @ 2116 P St is having live theater perfomances and sampling the wines they make on premises from 5-10PM. Parking is relatively easy to get and it is not as crowded as some other spots on 2nd Sat.

Who attended?

    • “ Fun! Let's do it again and hit some more galleries. ”
    • “ I enjoyed meeting everyone, sharing some wine and walking around town. My "sub-group" chose not to do the Blues Bar, but we were still happy to have shared the time that we did. We all said we'd do it again! ”
    • “ It was a lot of fun and the people were very nice. Getting started earlier around town after initial meetup would have been better but you get to know these things as you keep going. Had a great time...will definitely do it again! Karen ”

We had a great wine and dinner (thanks for the excellent bottles of wine Greg and Scott) out on the patio then went out into the streets of the 2nd Saturday art walk....it was more like a huge marti graw all over the city. Bands and live music every where. Then to a Blues club and listen to some great music. What a night. The weather was perfect. Best party in town. ”
