Ok, so here's a great joint event with the Grapevine Group!!
The event is officially titled "Movie and Wines Night", but it should really be titled "Wines Galore with a movie". Here's how it works: you can have unlimited tasting from a long list of wines (see below for a sample list), unlimited servings from the fruit and cheese platters and watch a movie at the same time.
What's the movie? well... as of now it's Casablanca, because it goes with the restaurant's Moroccan theme and it's a classic, but express your opinion when you RSVP; if I get enough votes for a particular movie, I can certainly switch.
The event starts at 7pm and lasts through 9:30pm at the Art Room on the third floor of Tabaq Bistro. The Art Room provides a great lounge area, state of the art sound system, and plasma screens and projectors. The setting is just relaxing and inviting.
The Price: $30 flat at the door. Be, however, nice to your bartender and tip appropriately at your discretion. This is a great price for this type of event (see wine list below).
The Location: Tabaq Lounge is conveniently located on the hot U Street corridor, about half a block from the U Street/Cardozo Metro station on the Green/Yellow lines.
The Wines: oh well... the preliminary list below includes 16 reds and 16 whites, although vintages and lables subject to change due to availability, etc.

This is a great opportunity to sample a great variety of wines, meet some great people, and even get a list of wines for the holiday season.
Note: We'll be having dinner at Tabaq after the event and you're welcomed to join.
Hope to see you all there!
PS: be mindful of others when you RSVP. If you're not sure you'll come, please leave the spot to others who are.
