I really like a good Beaujolais and really look forward to Beaujolais Nouveau every year. The French Wine Society is hosting some of the best producers from the region for what looks like a really fun event. From their website:
Come and meet the most exemplary estate producers from Beaujolais (the press has already been let in on this secret) so they can show you how the new generation of growers work and how they envision the future of their beloved winegrowing region.
You will be able to taste examples of almost all 10 crus, like Moulin-a-Vent, Fleurie, Brouilly and Morgon and learn about traditional growing practices, hand harvesting and how these wineries cope with modernization.
They are the artisans that are bringing Beaujolais into the 21st century, while remaining close to their roots and origins.
Unfortunately, I will be on an airplane while the event is going on...so you guys are on your own. But the event will be a lot of fun!!
You can get details and purchase tickets on the French Wine Society website.
